AuriCare - Hearing Amplifier

1. General Information

This Privacy Policy describes the data processing principles in the AuriCare – Hearing Aid App mobile application (hereinafter: the "Application"). We care about user privacy and limit data processing solely to what is necessary for the Application to function.

The Application operates locally on the device – audio is processed directly in the phone's memory and is not transmitted to or stored on any external servers.

2. Scope and Method of Data Processing

• The Application does not collect, profile, or permanently store users' personal data.
• Captured audio is used exclusively for amplification/cleaning and is processed locally.
• We do not record audio files and do not transmit them outside the user's device.
• The Application does not access the user's location or data from other applications.

3. Permissions Required by the Application

For proper operation, the Application requests the following Android system permissions:

• Record audio (microphone) – solely for capturing ambient sound and processing it in real-time on the device.
• Find/connect to nearby devices (Bluetooth) – for handling headphones and audio accessories.
• Notifications – to display a persistent notification indicating that the Application is active and running in the background.
• Disable battery optimization (optional, but recommended) – The Application may request to disable battery optimization for it in the Android system. This is necessary to ensure stable and uninterrupted operation of the audio processing service when the device screen is off.

Refusing to grant key permissions (microphone, Bluetooth, notifications) will prevent the use of the Application's basic features.

4. Trial Period and Payments

The Application offers a 7-day free trial period. After it ends, the user can choose a subscription or a one-time purchase to continue using the full functionality of the Application.

Payments are handled by Google Play. Google's privacy policies and terms of service apply in this regard. Details: Google Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising and Data Collection

The free version of the Application (Basic license) displays ads provided by Google through the AdMob service. In this context, the Application uses the following technologies:

• Google Mobile Ads SDK: This library may collect and process data such as the device's unique advertising identifier (Advertising ID), IP address, information about interactions with ads, and approximate location data to deliver personalized and relevant advertising content.
• User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK: In regions subject to GDPR (EEA and UK), the Application uses this library to obtain user consent for the collection and use of data for ad personalization purposes. The user has the ability to manage their preferences through the consent form.

We do not have direct access to the data collected by Google. The use of this data is subject to Google's privacy policy. To learn more about how Google uses data, please refer to the document: Google Privacy & Terms – Advertising.

6. External Services and Libraries

The Application uses the following external libraries:

• WebRTC (BSD license): Used for advanced real-time audio processing. The full license information is provided below:

• Google Play Billing Library: For handling subscriptions and one-time purchases. Transactions are securely processed by the Google Play system.

8. Security

Since the Application does not store personal data or transmit it to external servers, the risk of a privacy breach is minimized. All audio data is processed locally on the user's device.

9. Changes to the Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy if required by changes in the law or the development of the Application's functionality. The current version of the document will be available in the Application and in the Google Play description.
